Description
I like it.
This is a collab between and I. We were in pchat, and I drew the fishy on top, and she drew the fishy on the bottom, and then she drew a stick figure of the guy. I really liked how the picture was turning out, but i wanted to draw it in my sketchbook because I'm much better at traditional then at CG (plus, i needed more pics in my sketch book, lol). So, I asked Aelitonnes if I could redraw her mermaid in my book, and she said sure. Originally, her mermaid didn't have scales, those fins on the back/butt and side, and that fancy stuff on the tail. I added those, because I had that on my character and I wanted them to look similar. I hope you don't mine, D!
With the scales, I was experimenting on how to make them look fish like... It took me at least four hours (over the span of three days) to do them on both mermaids. But I like the texture of it. Some of the shading didn't come out on the bottom mermaid, which is why some of it looks flat, which I am very sorry for. I darkened the shading now, but scanning this picture so that it looked nice was such a pain in the ass, I'm not gunna bother rescanning it.
BY THE WAY: That's a dagger my character is carrying, but I purposely concealed it. There is a story behind the picture that I made up while redrawing it all! Sort of... The boy swam a bit too deep into the ocean. Two mermaids found him. They're evil mermaids, but very pretty. They're sort of like Sirens. Hehe... Fun.
Ok, i've talked long enough. Enjoy.
ONE MORE BTW:
This picture was brightened, contrasted, some darker shading, and... Brightened, so that it would look nice. Yay!
Should this be Matured because of the girl's not wearing a top?

I love their exotic looking fins! They'd look great with webbed fingers, too!!
